Sesame Seed Oil is a vegetable oil which is being used for culinary purposes, also as a cooking oil, in many local cuisines, including the Chinese, Korean and South Indian regions. Sesame Seed Oil has a high percentage of Omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, but besides the culinary use, it has traditionally been used for body massage, food manufacture, hair treatment and for production of Ayurvedic drugs. Sesame Seed Oil is furthermore a good source of Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, calcium, iron, copper, magnesium and zinc. Traditionally, Sesame Seed Oil is supposed to help with a wide variety of ailments, but not many were proven in clinical studies. When taken with blood pressure regulating medicine, it allows the dose to be significantly lowered.
